    It had been modified - Yamaha tom mount/holder, modern spurs and floor tom legs - so it's a player not a collector, but IMO the mods make it more suited to steady use by different drummers. New York clubs are notorious for having absolute garbage backlines, but this one was a beaut, a 60s Rogers 4 piece in BDP, with a Gretsch RB snare in matching finish. I have to say, without a doubt, the Rockwood backline kit is the best sounding and most well maintained I've ever played in NYC. All I needed to bring were cymbals and sticks, which was nice considering I usually have to haul stands/pedal/throne as well. I was prepared to bring a "bikini" set up, but it turned out the space had a house kit. I played an acoustic trio gig last night at the Rockwood Music Hall, Lower East Side, a very intimate (read small) and great sounding room.
